@killyourfm Been fully #Linux for the last 6 years with some dabbling before that. Occasionally work on open source as I can with a focus on privacy and gamedev.Trying to make some game adjacent tools currently.For music I'm a fan across many genres. Classic rock all the way to modern artist like Aesop Rock and Baby Metal

@killyourfm They are awesome! Just checked out the song and watched their Footsteps in the Sand video. Definitely going to add them to the loop. They nailed the classic sound. Reminds me of where I grew up.

@LPTVLive I hadn't kept up with deviantart in quite sometime didn't know they had gotten into AI stuff. Last thing I had heard they were sorta talking about about some internal tokenized thing that sounded like NFTs when I read it.

I'm thinking of putting together a video of What is Mastodon along with FAQ's answered. Started a small script for one now. Been collecting questions over the past few days into a spreadsheet. I'd like to find a good #peertube host for it outside of YouTube

@killyourfm I don't understand why they would do this. From what I recall the online aspect wasn't even a huge part of it. If I ever ran a game company that had an online game I would license it so the source would open as the online services ran down. I've been part of multiple game communities now that were only saved by people reverse engineering them and it shouldn't be that way.

Anyone else seeing an uptick of random follows from bots? I keep seeing accounts made two or three days ago following upwards of 17k accounts.**EditNone of them are marked as bots either.

@art Agreed. Some of the things diffusion can do are kinda cool. I draw the lines in some areas but it's amazing seeing what it can do in select scenarios. The diffusion I have been testing can pull subjects out of photos and make wallpapers out of them which has resulted in me swapping photos of my puggle on my background every few days. Looking forward to seeing more openai push forward in these ways without big tech being the arbiters.

@art I like VPN's alright but I have never seen them as some sort of privacy bullet despite all the claims to the contrary. I started using commercial ones at worked to circumvent region locks and testing CDN routing. It often feels like adding an additional middle-man for most privacy scenarios. You have to trust the provider to not do the same thing as the ISP.
