@amerika you're just partly right. The state rests on the backs of the workers, while corporations get their multibilion bailouts on the top of tax breaks or being let go with tax evasion. Look at how they increased their wealth during the pandemic while most of us are struggling. All those stimulus checks are very miniscule compared to what the Wall St. has received with the tax money of the poor and cash printing, while the infrastructure is crumbling and wages don't catch up with inflation by no means.

@amerika basically no profit is possible without paying the workers less than they produce. The harder they work compared to the minimum wage/one bargained by unions/average for their skills and experience in the given profession and area, the greater the profits. Capitalist state has two main functions, of direct repression and regulating the social unrest. Taxes are usually kept at the levels that would allow it to fulfill those two functions to the socially acceptable minimum. Politicians are pet dogs of the corporations so won't do a thing that threatens their profits in a serious manner.
