@sotolf I was watching a Steve Yegge video the other day about how he was leasning Ruby and there were times when he needed to figure out how to do something and, rather than look it up, he would guess. More often than not he would be right because Ruby did what he expected. That happened for me a couple of times the Nim today, probably because of familiarity with Python.

YouTube is becoming a real frustration for me. I watch A LOT of it and the vast majority of that is via Smart TV where I can't run an ad blocker (no, Pi Hole style proxies don't work :( ) The ads are insane, at times. It depends a lot on the channel and what options the creator picked but it can be as bad as a two-ad slot every 6 minutes or so in a 20 - 30 minute video.And yes, the shorts. I mean... WTF?I probably watch enough to justify Premium but that just feels wrong.

I've started learning Rust and wanted to dip in and out from both my personal and work PCs, ideally keeping a single "learnin" codebase of tutorial stuff.Ended up with VS Code running on both PCs with the SFTP extension syncing the code to my Pi3 "build server" :DThis means I don't need to install Rust on either of the (Win) PCs. It also means, of course, that I can't use the rust-analyzer extension in VS Code but, at this stage of my learnin', I should learn to live without "cheating" :D
