@stux Very interesting! Are you comfortable with sharing some of the basic stats for server, traffic, storage, utilization, etc. for a certain number of users you have on your server?I'm quite curious about what it takes to run a Mastodon instance for a certain number of active users.

Comparing #gemini and #gopher by looking at pages by @atyh : gemini://atyh.net and gopher://atyh.net.It's the same excitement I got when I first discovered the #tildeverse.

@lagrange I have problems on macOS Ventura with 1.14.2 and Agate as server (michaelnordmeyer.com) w/ self-signed cert generated by Agate: "TLS/SSL handshake failed"Certificate status:Domain name mismatch()Expired (0000-00-00 00:00:00)Not trustedAgate logs a warning:"" 00 "TLS error" error:peer is incompatible: no overlapping sigschemesWorked before, still works on iOS and Android 1.15.Disabling "Resume TLS session" doesn't change anything, same as deleting Lagrange's "trusted.2.txt"

@lagrange I could test with a beta build, if you have one.

@jk AFAIK what most Apple apps do is having a launch screen, which looks like an unpopulated version of the first screen that is going to displayed after a cold launch. In your case it would be URL and tab bar.

@jk I never change my default font or screen sizing in iOS/iPadOS so I never experienced the behavior of Apple's apps in this case.In theory, can SDL draw in an off-screen buffer or something on option change, which you could programmatically screenshot?

@jk Interesting, you are using a serif font for body text. 🤔

@jk I used to use serifs for long texts exclusively, but switched to sans serif a decade ago or so. For Lagrange I use Inter for headings and body.Apparently, the idea that serif body text is easier to read has been more and more disagreed with in the last couple of years.I still like the look of serif body text, but don't like to read it anymore.
