I think the Threads logo is clever and exciting to my inner semiotician. Don't understand people knocking it (🧵 1/3). 1. It's hard to make an "instantly recognizable" non-linguistic+orthography-reminiscent symbol that doesn't yet exist -- Threads logo nails it.

2. Reminiscent of:- Tamil /ku/ alphabetic letter- The @ symbol -- fundamental in social media communication -- with an upside down 'e' instead of 'a'- Phonetic schwa symbol, ə- Capital G- A literal piece of thread -- fundamental to the name of the platform.

3. To me, not knowing anything about anything, this seems like the work of a pretty ace logo designer. It's simple, it hits on a lot of references, and it's memorable. I'd consider the job super well done if I put out a logo design request and that's what I got back. 🤷♀️
