@futurebird not historical, but a fun and well written contemporary nonfiction science book I recently read was White Holes by Carlo Rovelli. It’s pretty short, but does a great job explaining a cool theory.

@stux it’s funny how it all looks relative though. I went to Germany on a business trip, back when I lived in San Francisco, and my coworker picked me up in his VW. I commented how big it seemed and asked him about which model he was driving, it was a Golf. 😆 This was particularly funny because I drive a GTI (same body, different engine) but at home my car seems tiny.
