Hi all 👋 I am a developer who has learned coding primarily by perusing open source and since then my interests are mainly giving back to the community. Some of the projects I've done which you might have used are Prototype.js, Zepto.js, Faraday, rbenv & ruby-build, hub, GitHub.com web frontend, and most recently the GitHub CLI.My other interests are cats, chickens and ducks, hedgehogs, gardening, #gaming, and the inevitable fall of capitalism. 🐱👾🔥#introduction #cli #ruby #golang #github

@clive I have had tendencies to go on binges like that as well: an early MUD (text based game over telnet), Destiny, Hearthstone. Nowadays I don’t allow myself to play multiplayer games anymore that have competitive/grind/season mechanics built in, since I feel like these kinds of game are predatory. But I did spend disproportionate amounts of my free time on Elden Ring lately.

@simon Person from GitHub here 👋 As much as I love Actions for CI and builds, I also wouldn’t use our runners for comparison of performance results over time. Not just because of shared computing instances, but also because the runner image itself keeps getting upgraded on a weekly basis. Custom runners of your own would be a way to go.

@simon I think I’m way more comfortable with Data reading books (and potentially getting inspired by them) because Data can reflect on his training, his output, and how he affects others. The purpose of Data’s existence isn’t production itself. In contrast, neither the current crop of LLMs nor their makers seem to have any conscience around this, as their current goal is to out-produce human workers for the enrichment of the few who control those means.

@simon That’s a really welcome change. I was wondering why your image previews were blurry, when you obviously took great care to publish them in the first place.
