       @stux strangely enough, the tv series got me into the books, and once I read the books I couldn’t get back into the series. Significant divergence in the latter seasons, along with the fact fact that the series would not cover the last three books made me decide to stick with what I read and loved rather than view the adapted conclusion. That said, they are both amazing science fiction works.

       @xerz I once had to maintain a behemoth Tadiran PBX which had an OS2 Warp head unit.  I can specifically remember a moment of pure terror doing a system upgrade, not having the system disk it requested and then getting a quick, panic filled education in how to make an XDF floppy on my Red Hat box.
