       @futurebird Oof, i had a real struggle with that book, and I think the crux of “why” i struggled is here in your opening post - the conflict was exhausting to read. I don’t know if I ever felt like the resolution of that grounding conflict between the two main characters was earned, either - merely temporarily pushed aside by the circumstances of the plot.
