@sneak Any specific you don't use DNS from the registrar but CloudFlare instead? https://sneak.berlin/20201029/stop-emailing-like-a-rube/

@kev I've been reading your recent #WordPress posts with interest. May I suggest a future post about the plugins you use and specifically if you use Jetpack and why (not)?

@kev Re: JetPack. Do you mean expensive in the sense of resource usage (page speed) or in the sense of money for the paid service? I would only use the free functionality, but feel it's bloated and taking over my site.

@kev FYI. The page https://kevq.uk/affiliate-link-policy/ is missing with your blog.

@kev I'm curious. Netlify states that to use their global CDN, you should host your site for a subdomain (www). You serve it from the apex domain kevq.uk. Have you taken this into account? And what are your views on this and experiences?(https://docs.netlify.com/domains-https/custom-domains/configure-external-dns/#configure-an-apex-domain)In reply to https://kevq.uk/comparing-static-site-hosts-best-host-for-a-static-site/

@kev > ... when I was hosting my production site ...Does this imply that you have left Netlify? And have chosen a different hoster?

@kev I keep my account mainly to access corporate customer support services. Most of the time their responses times are best on Twitter.

@kev LOL. You replaced Netlify with Cloudways but didn't update the link. It's still pointing to Netlify's

@kev 🤪 That link is still to Netlify, or you have some weird caching issue.

@chris Have you ever considered Grav CMS? A dynamic site generator without a database. https://getgrav.org/

@kev @chris I've tried, too, and it was OK. My biggest gripe was content management. Similar to an SSG I needed to put the files in folders. No or little rich text editing in an editor.
