@FallsMom @ai6yr An interesting thing I saw while watching Ryan Hall Y'all: officials declared a (geographically) massive tornado warning for Pennsylvania despite there not being a tornado. Apparently it was done to activate sirens and get people to shelter from the extreme straight-line winds coming for them 😬

@ai6yr @Sustainable2050 And yikes - it really did wipe out most of the town. Looks like it went down the mountain and filled up the valley, flowing up and down it before it ran out of energy. Looks like everything above the drawn orange line was wiped out, aside from homes in the lower right area which are on a steep hillside.

@ai6yr @ascentale @puppethead @bikenite Yup, that's the standard setup for Dutch roundabouts, and there's a LOT of them. Red surface means bicycles have priority, plus the road markings telling cars to yield before crossing it and bicycles to yield to other bicycles before entering it.It's all planned out before street infrastructure is built, and is completely mandatory. New neighborhoods are required to have paved bike and foot paths going through them, rather than being allowed to block off access.

@ai6yr I intended to be sleeping currently, but am instead watching the freeway protest after a massive bit of thunder directly overhead woke me up and hypoglycemia kept me up. Pretty sure this is the first time I literally shouted "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST" while waking up, and hopefully the last.I'm still not completely confident that a large airplane gaining altitude overhead didn't explode at the same time the storm blew through 😂
