Phew, spent a night to revisit the repo of #signal-cli. Found they now provide a native build (w/o jre), awesome!Easily copy the binary and just fire it up.Pitifully it is only for x86-64. If there is a arm64 build then would be perfect to run it on #pinephone .

I think i need to buy a 7-inch monitor for my #pinephone as its screen broke...My keyboard works only the first time connected via a docking bar during the session of boot up, indeed LoL.

As you may know that recently a Chinese App #Pinduoduo has malicious code (and a team behind). These are some bullet points I learn from a behavior analytic report about it:As an end user of Android, these should do:- A clean OS with in-time security updates- Responsible app store- A firm and responsible app (permission) manager in the OS#security #privacy

One of the findings from that report is that: the app manager (the one in the settings which manages the privileges of apps, e.g. some apps may be allowed to become admin app -- equivalent to be running as root (?))... :thinking:

I have been back to use #qutebrowser again, on #postmarketos on #pinephone this time. Feeling perfect so far! Dunn need to plug a mouse ;-P (only plugging a keyboard)Btw, it is fast (less footprint than firefox), and being suited into small screen!

Recently I moved my home #FreeBSD server (rpi 3) as a NAS to my office to be a WIFI hotpot/router.Would be interested in reinstalling FreeBSD to 14 while my current 31.2-RELEASE system is almost full...(the disk is too small)Cheers #fedi and #foss families! I would liket to appreciate #openstreetmap and contributors ! as well as #organicMaps !It really helped when I was exploring a remote trailing area. I finally found the trails and reached the destination where there's only one ferry per day to carry me back to human residential areas! Hew~ 😅😆

I have been long thinking why I am moving to HK, which is a complicated.In a #totalitarianstate , people more or less embed a sort of #oppression in their daily work and life, in terms of person relationships and work culture.Sometimes the oppression is either covered or revealed by a person's personalities. So it becomes hard to distinguish where the oppression is originated.
