@treed @cypnk That's exactly the kind of community we're talking about. We had banks of 9600, 14,400, and 28,800 bps modems, and people would often call into the lower speed numbers if they were just chatting to leave the faster lines open to people going onto the fractional t1 or trying to download something.You just don't see that much anymore.

@deborahh @pluralistic The solution to this is worker solidarity.We don't need billionaires, billionaires need us.Why is it so dang hard to get people to work together for their own interests (and possibly preservation?)
