@BrodieOnLinux the grassgames #screensaver looks so nice. it's for windows but i run it on my raspberry using #wine :blobcatgiggle:so if #wayland broke your screensavers, i'm sure you could still use those for microsoft 🤣

actually the #election result in #austria is not a novelty. it shows similarities with the 2008 electionconsidering that BZÖ was a FPÖ spinoff founded by jörg haider, you could add both party's numbers and get 28,24% with a combined gain of 13,09%that's surprisingly close to FPÖ's 28,8% with 12,6% gain today. also interesting: in 2008 ÖVP had a similar result of 25,89% like today (26,3%)#osterreich #fpo #ovp #nrw24 #nrw2024 #nationalratswahln

@NeonPurpleStar @elCelio seats are roughly proportional to the vote share, but d'hondt arithmetics are slightly biased to favor bigger partiesin 2008 BZÖ and FPÖ got 55 seats combined. FPÖ now has 57. you could argue that being divided cost both parties a single seat eachto form a government only two rules are in play (always!):1) the president (former green party leader van der bellen) can pick basically anyone to form a goverment2) a >50% majority in parliament can fire the government
