@gnulinux Sehr schön! Mit Syncthing hatte ich das auch so gemacht, als ich noch Android-Dingens hatte.Mein #Senf bzgl. "Cloud & Sicherheit": Mittels der Schlüsseldatei könnte mensch die Passwort-Datenbank auch auf einer unvertrauenswürdigen "Cloud" speichern -- die Datenbank ist dann ja quasi "end to end" (aber symmetrisch) verschlüsselt. Bloß aufgepasst müsste dann, dass die Schlüsseldatei eben nicht in die Cloud kommt. Eventuell könnte die Schlüsseldatei in einen extra abgesicherten Speicher-Bereich von Android aufgewahrt werden. (Sone Funktion hat Android doch, oder?)

Haha, if you have as weird taste buds as me, this actually tastes good :)I bought it once since I liked the shape of the bottle, though ... The most ridiculous thing about this product is that they advertise it as a healthy* food.* By law they can't make any specific health claims. Of course, like every alt-med and "pro-biotic" stuff, it's low-key advertised for all kinds of health benefits. On the bottle, they write it's "for a good health" since it contains vitamin B12.Curiously, they say the entire bottle is one "portion", but the B12 content on the label is just 0.14 µg, or 5% of the daily recommended dose 🤡. This means you'd need to drink 20 bottles of this piss every day to get the required B12; whether it's in the active form though is another question ...Fellow #vegans, just take B12 supplements; they are safe.@T045T @schratze @CptFabulous

Firefox on Linux recently introduced a "feature" that fades out the scrollbar if you don't move your mouse. If you're like me and don't like invisible scrollbars, you can simply deactivate this "feature".Go to the address bar and type "about:config" (without the quotes, obviously). Agree to be careful. Search for "widget.gtk.overlay-scrollbars.enabled" and toggle the entry from "true" to "false" by double-clicking it. PS: Last time, I had to stop the program, since for some reason, it consumed too much CPU of the poor old pi. Perhaps #TorProject fixed some bugs, since it now appears to run smoother.In the last three hours, I got 80-120 connections each, which transferred only < 100 MB each. Since I want to make 'real' bread loaves again (and not always pita bread on the stove), I'm considering to purchase a 'toaster oven' (aka. mini oven, although there are large toaster ovens that you just don't need to build into a cabinet).Has anyone here experience baking bread in toaster ovens? I want to make free bread and probably also bread in a baking moulds. Do you have recommendations, like brand and size? (I think an 60l oven would be more than enough, maybe only 40l would suffice).One concern is that the heat should be distributed evenly, and it should also be quite hot. Most toaster ovens 'only' go to 230 °C (446 °F), which is *just* enough for baking. Furthermore, they should retain steam and heat well. My tiny toaster oven, for instance, does not, and thus the bread rolls that I made with it never turned out well.#bread #baking #sourdough

I really like that in Mastodon's #web interface, animations are only played when you hover the mouse over the picture. Is there any #Firefox addOn or userScript that enables something like this on regular web pages?I once write a #userScript that hides #gifs under an HTML "description" (https://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_details.asp), so you have to click a button in order to show/hide the image. However, this solution was not optimal, since it often changes the layout of the web page, and not every #gif is animated. What I would like is that the addon/userscript takes a screenshot of the first frame of the gif, and replaces the gif with the first frame, unless the mouse hovers over it.#animations #addOns #javascript

There's the following simple #Firefox #AddOnhttps://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/toggleanigif/It's basically a button that toggles image animation in about:config -- you therefore need to reload the page to stop all animations on it. There's also a feature that simply 'freezes' a gif (by repainting it onto a canvas), but this feature doesn't work for me.Anyway, perhaps this addon is a starting point for developing a new addon that satisfies my needs. (I want the GIF to only be animated if the mouse hovers over it. Perhaps a red border should be drawn about 'frozen' GIFs, so that the user sees that that they can hover over it to show the animation -- essentially like in Mastodon.)
