@Morghur @crunklord420 @sarvo It's called "Colour out of Space", but in reality it's remake of "The Thing".It's abouit monsters jumping into the camera with a loud noise and the main protagonist shooting it with a shotgun.If they marketed it as "we made a shitty homage to The Thing" I probably would have even enjoyed it, it's not that awful on its own.But it has nothing to do with anything lovecraftian in spirit and is basically a false advertising.

Don't really remember any raping scandals.Orthodox priests are encouraged to marry and have a family anyhow, and the dogmas do not treat procreation as the original sin, so it probably does not attract homos as much.

@exodus34 @colonelj @crunklord420 I don't disagree with anything in your last post.What I'm saying is that russian religion (the official one, not старообрядец и иже minor cults) is beholden to russian totalitarian government.Minor cults still exist, Kremlin does not try to fuck with them too much (probably wary of the optics), there's staroobryadets (Old Believers) church less then an hour away from my city center.

I am russian and will always be for Russia and russians.But I will never see priests losing their сан (ecclesiastical title) because governement says so, just like I will never support religion being another branch of state propaganda.Religion and the state are meant to be separate, and I will never accept than than for anything other than corruption and subversion.

@AaronTheGuy @alex I don't know about that, man.I'm Linux and open source dweeb, yet I have to admit 100% of open source Linux programs look like utter shit and feel even worse when you have to pick up the mouse.Both his points about UI being laid by wayside and UI looking like multiple people with different visions designed it are both still true in current year.Terminal is so great, it lets you avoid all those nasty omnipresent idiosyncratic GUI issues.Any counterexamples of good UI?
