@adam agreed, those effects are kinda counterproductive for actually Getting Shit Done but you cannot deny that they look very, very cool.One of my faves was either the minimize or roll up (can't remember which) where the window disappears in a puff of flame.

@brewsterkahle Facebook is similar-ish by default, in that it is forever throwing things at you that your friends interacted with, or it thinks you're interested in, or whatever. At least on FB, you can mute/block the ones that really bug you, but the algorithm will never stop throwing new shit at you.It's weird how we end up in these loops; I'm only on Facebook because many of my friends are only on there, and so it's rather self-reinforcing.This place is vastly more pleasant.
