Building a phone OS takes thousands of pieces needing to fit together. One of those is handling cell-broadcast, where a celltower can push a message to all phones within range.Ubuntu Touch has its cell-stack based on Ofono. @nextcloud This has to be one of the poorest responses to a cyber security vunerability I have ever seen. And proves that businesses and institutions really need to re-evaluate the perceived safety level of microsofts cloud products like Azure AD

@arstechnica Read it and weep. Yet another reason to stop using any google-based browser. The internet does really work with #firefox people. In fact, it will make it a whole lot better.

"Ubuntu 25.04 was around 8% faster (geo mean) than Windows 11 as shipped by HP on this OmniBook 5.. ..and itself a testament to how well the Radeon RADV open-source driver has matured in recent years.."One wonders what pro's there really are anymore for using Windows instead of Linux, except for people who actually prefer their data being up for grabs by us companies and the us governement.
