       @tante it's so highly dependent I'm not sure we'll ever be able to make a quantitative call one way or the other. I see some of the code things like autopilot and chatGPT generate and it gives me nightmares for the subtle bugs it will produce, and on the other hand sometimes it generates exactly what you want. I don't necessarily trust every dev on my team (or even myself!) to be able to make that distinction.

       Yeah purposefully capping a computer that costs at least $3000 AUD once it has a non-paltry amount of ram in 2024 is outrageous. “Oh but the base M3 doesn’t have enough PCI lanes” – bullshit.
