We put together our new raised garden beds today. There were a fuckton of bolts. They're being filled with soil by Dave and his excavator later this week. #NarrabriNews

We're negotiating our EA at the moment and management just put forward their first pay rise offer and it was 2% and I'm astounded. They made $718 million after tax profit last year. They can get fucked.

All businesses should be worker owned cooperatives. I'm sick of some idiot in hi vis that still has creases not sharing the fruits of my labour. I'd like to sit on of those Workplace video producing managers down and ask them to demonstrate exactly how they contributed to the 2500 tonnes of grain making its way from Walgett to the hold of a ship in Newcastle .

There's lots of flowers in our front garden at the moment. I don't know what the tree is but its flowers are very pretty and the bees love them.

One of the best parts of the Savannahlander is everybody can see out the front.

I'm now on the bus back from Mareeba. It was a nice morning and good to catch up with some old workmates. It was also very exciting to see a cassowary run in front of the train! I've done hundreds of trips up the Kuranda range on the Savannahlander and it was the first time seeing one from the railmotors. If you're ever in Cairns and are looking for a shortish train ride I still highly recommend the Sav.

@Ben @david @ash QR don't run any freight services in Queensland any more (actually they may still run some cattle services). That'll be the Spirit of the Outback that goes to Longreach.

@Ben @david @ash QR's freight operations got sold off quite some time ago. Initially it became QR National and then rebranded to Aurizon. There's still plenty of freight that goes by rail up the coast from Brisbane just none of it operated by QR.

Today we're on the Wee Waa cotton train. There's usually three container trains a week to the Namoi Cotton siding. The train is loaded with cotton and sometimes other stuff in containers like grain or chickpeas. #trains #railways @austrains

We're loading wheat at Manildra's facility at Bellata today. Loading here is good as the loadout is on a balloon loop which means no shunting and they load on the run. The only negative today is we gave 24 containers on the rear that have to be loaded. They've got small hatches in the top that have to be opened manually and then lined up with the loading spouts and it's a pain in the arse. #trains #railways

@Coolmccool I've had Starlink since February and I think it's fantastic. Very little down time and the speeds are excellent.
