@strypey Having somebody tied to a major US conservative group have a major say on the moderation decisions of the biggest Fediverse instance that you federate to by an order of magnitude just on paper seems like a more than fair reason to pre-emptively defederate. The current moderation tools already don't regulate against the scale of mastodon.social all that well. From the standpoint of "I don't want to even try to moderate against that," it's absolutely fair.

@strypey That's an interesting rebrand for a loan shark. It seems somehow less sinister even though the threat of violence is more direct.

@aral That's not even the whole story. As the article notes, the Tesla cars and others high on the list are very safe when evaluated mechanically. The article implies that Tesla drivers as a group are especially self-destructive.(Although, it seems that there's a wider range of possible problems that safety testing isn't capturing because it's not just Teslas.)

@strypey I know one of the co-founders who diverged from the project of hosting and now runs Reclaim Video and Reclaim Arcade local to where I am.It's kind of cool to see connections like that pop up across the Fediverse.

I made a meme appropriate to the Fediverse.

@foone Seems like asteroids and comets would often qualify depending on the telescope.

@foone I don't want to live in a world where with a good enough telescope Musk would have technically launched a planet.
