Interesting about the new Apple Vision Pro. Yes, the price is crazy. But I remember my dad's first computer. $5000 for like 1MB harddrive and EGA monitor. And he bought it used. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for him buying that.@tomrossi7 @benjaminbellamy @Ben Maybe it's time to plan for a podcast host/player collaboration where listeners can see the podcast hosts in real time, as if they were in the same room as them? :)

@adam @StevenB @nathan @Alby Yeah, this is basically what I talked about wanting to do on the Podnews Weekly interview I did. I think it's a great idea, and if you make it something the apps can easily let users boost and generate a transcript if there's none, then I'm sure you're going to see a nice amount of boosts! :)

@StevenB @agates @errhead @mitch @samsethi Looks great. This was one of the things that I wanted to discuss with you. I think it's important we have some kind of "type" here. Because I see a lot of potential for interactivity in the future. One of the things I wanted to try myself was to create a "Poll" type of live interaction - where @adam could create a poll on the serverside and push it as a live-thing - then everyone with a compatible app could vote real time. Great fun to be had!

Personal career update:My employer underwent a major reshuffling, resulting in my redundancy.No pity needed - I've been gifted with a six-month garden leave, which is honestly a pretty great situation.In this period, aside from working on Podfriend, I'll be contemplating my professional future. I welcome any suggestions for exciting product or engineering roles or intriguing contract jobs!Copenhagen is my base, so potential opportunities would preferably be remote. Thanks everyone!

@dave Oh yes, my chin is up high. I also just negotiated some extra conditions, so I now have 7 months of garden leave 😂 The hardest thing will be to start having job conversations but to convince them that I need several months of freedom first. But in all seriousness, it's really nice to have this opportunity to heavily reflect on what I want to do going forward.

@csb I have been made redundant and put on garden leave, which means I have a bit over half a year where I'm being paid a salary but doesn't have to do any work (except find my next job of course).

Hi all 💙 I just wanted to give an update on why I've been a bit quiet lately. It's not because of anything bad, but I've started a new exciting job, which takes quite a lot of ramping up and basically all my attention (along with family life and a tiny bit of relaxation).I still love Podfriend and all the endless possibilities, but being realistic, I'm afraid it's leaning more towards maintenance mode (except for some weekend sprints) for the next months.
