@sir I'm in. I've been trying to share my thoughts for so long, but it is so difficult to find the time and even more important the energy to do so.Not really interested in the money, so please donate if you like.

@sir my chemistry teacher always used copper coins to demonstrate electroplating. You might have found some real gold there šŸ˜‰

@neauoire I don't think we will ever have some kind of "sustainable" electronics. Electronic devices are just too fragile and integrated to be manufactured in a "cradle-to-the-cradle"-way.But I think we should start to design electronics around longevity, repairability and complexity reduction. This would reduce the ecological footprint greatly, just by changing the design objectives.Reducing usage of harmful substances or usage of biodegradable PCBs is way more difficult.

I still owe a proper #introduction.I'm married, have children and live in rural Germany. I work in academia somewhere between programming, engineering and mathematics, but don't feel like an academic because I like to get my hands dirty.Stuff I love to talk about:• privacy and cryptography• typography• functional design• the relation between technology and society• mechanical linkages• ecology and sustainability• retro technology• electronics design• systems theory
