       @aral Are you sure these have been designed to keep people from sleeping on them? There are much more easier ways of doing that like just adding an arm rest in the middle of the bench. To me they just look like a bench designed to look like a book. Can't really avoid a curved surface with such a design.

       @jepyang Geez, people here commenting about Harry Potter who haven't even read one HP book. They are great fantasy and world-building. Not mean-spirited either. That's just a way to deliberately misunderstand them. Just separate the author and their work. Not that difficult. That said, not listening to Michael Jackson ever again. No reason to start claiming his music is shit, though...
