Die Hochschule Hannover ist von einem "Cyberangriff" betroffen. Nun wurde entschieden die E-Mails nicht mehr selbst zu hosten, sondern bei Microsoft mit "Office 365 / Mircosoft Azure". Dies ist natürlich aus mehreren perspektiven Bedenklich. Es speichert die E-Mails zentral bei Microsoft und erlaubt nicht einmal die Benutzung von IMAP/SMTP.Das Gute: Jemand hat nun einen "Appell gegen die Nutzung von Microsoft 365 für Hochschulmails" gestartet!#HsH #Microsoft #Datenschutz #Studium #Fail

@deavmi Well, depending on the scale of the whole thing on the instance, I can understand the decision (is it just an opinion or does it become offensive...).However, one of the advantages of Mastodon / Fediverse is that you can move and take your account with you.Moreover, Pixelfed itself seems to have not only suspended, but also blocked the instance altogether.
