That the whole area was part of the ottman empire that was defeted during wwI and that until then Muslims, Christians and Jews were living in this area. That when the Britain proposed a state that there was the idea that two states should exist and Arab countries where against it. Threatening the newly formed state with extinction.

It is at its core a decolonial project and stems from the urge that the Jewish diaspora returns to it's old home land, where it once began. Israel has a foundation in history. They lived there somewhat 4000 years ago and where expelled by the Romans. So no it's not a colonal project installed by the British.

@argumento @Blaveur @happymilk @appassionato @palestine for sure he gave the idea a modern face and packed it in the face of modern antisemitism in a coherent modern idea that also appealed to a lot of Jewish communists, but the idea of the return to Jerusalem and the land of their anccestors is inscribed on the belief that they will return upon the building of the third temple. What you hate about it is, that Jews proclaim something that the most people have already.

What happens to people who don't have a state can be observed how Turkey is killing kurdish people or the Islamic state killed the yezids. So of curse your bias towards the state of Israel is just coded antisemitism.
