don't get me wrong it wasn't all bad, i liked those people. but my trauma had a big part to play with why i couldn't function there, and i didn't start healing until well after i left.

personally i don't think a trans woman saying "i was poisoned by testosterone" lends weight to "boys will be boys" and "testosterone made me do it" kind of rhetoric.because that's not what is being said, saying we were being "poisoned" is not making excuses for our behaviour it's saying that our bodies hurt us.all of this gets simplified into testosterone = bad when it's two completely different things.don't tell me how i should feel about my body because you don't share the same feeling. i'm a woman, i was never supposed to have so much testosterone in my body.

i fully understand how terfs in particular view trans men taking testosterone as "poisoning girls" and that is indeed the fucking grossest shit, but you have to understand this isn't the same.we're not contributing to the oppression of trans men by expressing grief, and making that into something problematic is in itself oppressive.i don't go around saying it, because honestly i'm over it after 3 years, but i do remember how i felt pre hrt.
