@futurebird @datarama You're not entirely wrong. I use split 36-key (and sometimes 34-key) keyboards, and I love it. Especially at work people think I must be super smart because of that. I'm not.I started my tiny keyboard journey on a Planck, and it kind of sucks compared to what I use now with layering. Right thumb trigger 1 of 3 layers for the left and vice versa, logical and more effective than the mess that is the default Planck map.

@john It is. But it's good.You may be satisfied with Syncthing instead, and something like @ente (what I use) or Immich for photos, combined with some CalDAV/CardDAV server for calendars and adressbook.But then again, Nextcloud have all that already. And I use NextCloud for CalDAV/CardDAV, because it is really good and interoperable for that, and because I have access to a trustworthy Nextcloud instance.

@stefano Ooh, I didn't know that. How, is it a built-in feature?

@benjojo I use migadu.com for almost a year now, and so far haven't detected any deliverability issues.

Can you get a job where you just hack on Emacs lisp all the time?I've been doing nothing useful at all for the 1st 3 hours of this holy Saturday, but I've had 5 (6?) cups of coffee and have fiddled around with my Emacs config non-stop, and I feel insanely happy. Emacs and elisp is the best programming environment I've ever used.#saturday #emacs #lisp #coffee

Introduced my wife to AntennaPod for podcasts, as a step to wean us off Spotify, and her initial confusion was that she didn't have to log in to anything to use it, it just works, and she can find the podcasts she is interested in! 😊https://antennapod.org/It's too easy!#podcasts #antennapod #spotify
