@futurebird Not sure if I should vote. The company I'm with is unique in several ways with regards to this question, but AI has never come up, and no one sane would ever propose it. If they did, it would be a hard veto from me, and the matter would be dropped. You could hardly have a worse fit.Industry is land surveying

10.05 Stardate -297637.4We live toot #StarTrek episodes playing on the H&I network, using the hashtag #AllStarTrek. If you don’t get the H&I station, you can also stream or contact an Orion trader. Follow Capt Ayako( @MirrorAyako ) #AllStarTrek and @startrek for updates and all things Trek!I'm going to solo post for the time being to maximize spread, rather than reply to Capt Ayako's post, but the Captain's post should be considered canonical. This is just an adjunct.1:2

@Ricardus I like flannel. I like flannel anyway, but I keep my house cold in the winter. It gets into the 40s in my bedroom. Scrubs would be like wearing almost nothing getting out from under the blankets. If you keep more typical temps in the house, seems like scrubs would work pretty well.

@futurebird @mikemccaffrey It really is something, isn't it? Looks like a 3D render, with painstaking attention to detail. Great photo!

@LibrarianRA A little late for halloween. Mid century cookbooks were horror books. With pictures!

@Nonilex It's harder to discriminate on speaking function than it is to just say "We'll use an interpreter everywhere, whether we have to or not".

@fox @darth_hideout @sezduck @MirrorAyako @startrek My memory's terrible for episodes. Makes rewatches better, but I'm no good at trivia or pulling up details.#AllStarTrek

@MirrorAyako @startrek Awe... I figured you'd want to highlight 'Trials'. Since you can't get pics to work, here's a cool poster the Commander found.#AllStarTrek

@futurebird My Mjölnir necklace. The elk cord was replaced with combat boot lace, and it hasn't been removed from my body in ~10 years aside from getting Xrays/hospital stays.

@LibrarianRA Looking at google maps, the Arkansas river has potential for being a legitimate photo spot. Still feels a little misleading though :^Dhttps://www.google.com/maps/place/Sumner+County,+KS/@37.4217026,-97.2352677,2817m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x87babfcac365636f:0x7f0cebd8f30f03a4!8m2!3d37.2236052!4d-97.6114217!16zL20vMG5wMW4?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDEwNy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

@futurebird Using a regular calc makes me want to ragequit. I use an HP48 daily at work, and have two different HP emulators on my phone. I also have rpn calculators on debian, but I forget what it's called. Galculator?

@davidrevoy Crucial Ballistix had severe problems with a particular batch, and I lost ram in my computer as well as one I built for someone else, and warrantied. Back when I cared about computers, I was into overclocking and stuff, and it was standard practice to memtest new builds. Some failures were due to aggressive overclock, some due to manufacturer faults. I've probably lost 8 sticks over the years through no fault of my own. 1:2

@davidrevoy With linux, I /think/ you can segregate banks on a stick, and only use the part that's good. I have no idea how, and it would be hacky ghetto stuff, but might work in an emergency.2:2
