@fosstodon but that kind of conflicts with the CoC. It literally says that advocacy regarding controversial topics is not allowed.

@kev I don't know.. I mean it's not physically connected to our bodies and there are lots of people who don't have a smartphone or even a computer in their hands every day and their physiological functions seem fine..

@kev honestly, unless you are in a dark place, a light theme is more comfortable, to me at least.

@kev well yeah, turning them on does help indeed πŸ˜†On a more serious note, what are trying to show when the before monitors are off? Wouldn't showing a visual difference be more interesting? πŸ˜‰

@kev I thought maybe you can see a difference between monitors that have IPS and ones that don't. πŸ€”

@kev In my opinion you can read many books but I feel like the best way to understand it is to use it on a project and inevitably run into certain beginner mistakes. Then look up the man-pages and if that doesn't help Google it. 😁

@leip4Ier Why is it pointless to use DoH if your ISP logs all HTTPS connections? The only thing they learn is when you request a domain name and potentially how many, but the content (i.e. the DNS query) should be encrypted, right?

@leip4Ier But isn't that the SNI of the resolver? From my understanding, the HTTP request inside the TLS session contains the domain to resolve: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc8484#section-4.1

@leip4Ier Ah, I misunderstood you then πŸ˜„ Until we have ECH*, I guess the only mitigation for that is a VPN, however it technically only moves the problem and the involved trust to the VPN provider.*: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Server_Name_Indication#Encrypted_Client_Hello
