@stux I just got a delivery from my standard hardware chain for screws and other things. In the box was five flyers for other company's products. Things like chocolate and wine. WTF? So now they think they are Amazon or some other shitty company making money from distributing advertising flyers. I wonder which executive came up with that shitty idea.Ads SUCK!

@stux I used to watch NasaSpaceflight daily updates on Starship and every single F9 launch to see the landing. I unsubscribed from all of it after finding out what Musk was really like. If YT suggests a video of anything related to him I downvote the video and block the channel. I am petty like that. I am interested to see if Starship Superheavy launches, but will probably just watch #ScottManley for the update, the only person I think that keeps any Musk fanboyism in check.

@stux had the same with my last job. But that would have happened without COVID also. HR are in a different part of the country, four hours drive away and my boss was based in Chicago who also works from home as we didn't have a Chicago office. I haven't had a local boss or HR in eight or more years.

@ChrisMayLA6 to your point about firms with long established funds. I could setup a pension plan with any company that provided them, they are strictly regulated of course. My current plan is with AMP. Any employer would simply pay the government minimum and any negotiated value into that plan. If I was starting employment for the first time the employer could start one with their 'standard' firm on my behalf and I could take that with me to my next job or move my fund value to another provider.
