@Krisss Sentinel rock in the background.We have a family heirloom (not sure of year made but likely the early 1900's). It's is a hooked, wall hanging, made using dyed silk stockings and hooked on a sugar sack. A post card of Sentinel rock was used as a template and scaled up to a size of roughly 2-1/2 ft wide x 4 ft high.I'm currently looking at this painting (on monitor) with the wall hanging (in the background), and the resemblance is remarkable.Had to share this information.

@lowqualityfactsI think naut, lol.You got the "star" part right, and although "hugger" is a wonderful sentiment, and I'm sure this may be how they feel, the 'naut' part refers to sailors.Come to think of it, I wonder why the Navy doesn't refer to their sailors as "Nauty's".

@Krisss I was trying to figure out what the sign was, at first glance, I thought it was a biker wearing his colors while hanging out, to wash the windows.... sorry, guess I have a vivid imagination, lol I do love the feeling I get from the painting, it's well done!
