       @allafarce I use obsidian, because I tried it first and liked it. I don't mind that it's not OSS because my files are just markdown files in a directory.

       @lph @alexis @post I'm not sure how much it implements, but the only non-standard feature I use is [[cross-references]]. You can see here how I use python-markdown to parse and publish my notes, it's very short because the files are extremely close to spec:https://github.com/llimllib/obsidian_notes/

       @simon I put reasonably serious effort into trying, but the extremely incomplete state of the torch backend for metal (MPS) [1] stymied me. ATM it seems to me that the arm macs are bad platforms for LLM work, and that seems unlikely to change any time soon[1]: https://github.com/pytorch/pytorch/issues/77764
