@BrodieOnLinux wayland, on sway for some years now. Had a short relapse when picom 9.0 was released but was quickly reminded of all the weird quirks of xorg.

@BrodieOnLinux Yeah, the least attractive feature of sway is it's adherence to being *i3 compatible* and all outside what i3 is doing is off the table.. This is true.Did not know about the portals thing! I'm on nixos, I should probably just go ahead and try it out.

@BrodieOnLinux @system76 Very exciting indeed! Imagine that, a full fledged desktop environment featuring a true tiling experience. Praise Jah, rastafari and space Jesus! I can have tiling and not have to jimmy-rig stuff together to get some sense of a modern desktop in regards to all non-tiling related parts of a modern desktop.COSMIC on NixOS with flakes and Home-Manager.
