@volpeon You're forgetting the power lead. Not sorting that makes all the other effort worthless. https://www.audioaffair.co.uk/isotek-evo3-ascension-mains-cable-2-0m?___SID=U£3499 for the smoothest of bits, both running the computer and in the compiled binaries.

@Raspberry_Pi OMG, those humans have bodies. My first thought was whether the designers had tested the tube material for bad reactions to any gels, solvents or emulsions they are likely to encounter.

@robpike The i386 / i486 / early Pentium + Windows 2000 era seemed to produce decent and perceptibly fast machines. Or maybe I am just looking at the past through rose tinted glasses.

Hi #8bit folks, I'm looking for recommendations for scan converters to connect old kit to an HDMI port. Ideally covering (PAL) composite (ZX Spectrum etc.), BBC Micro RGB and C64 (any non-rf output). Can be one unit or individual adapters. Thanks!

Hey UK Commodore 64 folks, I'm looking out for a cheap-as-possible working C64 (SIDless or not, appearance not important) to see if I can help out on the 'Meatloaf-specialty' project developing an IEC modem/network adapter. Anyone?https://github.com/idolpx/meatloaf-specialty
