@futurebird I do the same with physics... then again, the world "runs on physics" so it's not too hard.But what is perhaps unusual is that my physics students end up being obsessed with finding songs with physics in them ("Wavelength" by van Morrison) or finding the physics "hiding" in a song ("I'm spinning around", Kylie Minogue, is clearly about circular motion, angular momentum etc.) Having said that, I'm also a fan of "Adam and the Ants!" 😀

@futurebird @KarenawokeKaren From what I remember seeing reported they were there, but their job was a lot more difficult due to the violence of the fascists. Here, their job is relatively easy due to the peaceful nature of the large crowd... a good indication of the difference between the two types of people?

@futurebird Towards the time I graduated from Uni I had the opportunity to work as a trader, or whatever. The financial corps visited the Uni in what was called (probably still is) the "Milk Round" - they were trying to milk talent (they were particularly keen to do this from Oxford / Cambridge).I had the opportunity to make loads of money. I turned it down, because the *main purpose* was to enrich oneself, rather than anything constructive.That was over 30 years ago. It has ever been so.
