I think a lot of what drives people to Microsoft is the fact that Microsoft has weasled its way into our schools, our governments, everything.If Linux were taught in schools from a young age then we'd have far more people using it. It would seem more intuitive. It would *become* more intuitive, because more people would work with it.Microsoft has a huge advantage with both money and userbase experience. Linux has to be learned, Windows is just something we've always known.

A funny thing on Tumblr was when people would indignantly post about how nobody is talking about something, like say the Amazon Rain Forest being on fire, and you turn on the TV and it's basically 24/7 coverage on that subject specifically.I mean, who watches the news? But you don't have to pretend the subject is being ignored.

I think the "there are more empty houses than houseless people" thing is mostly rhetorical, not "we should force houseless people to move to where empty houses are".But then again, rhetoric can end up effecting policy bc politicians are dense.I would also hope that housing would come with rent control, because as I've seen mentioned... giving people houses and then saddling them with the enormous cost of rent isn't very helpful.

Some YouTube users do, in fact, pay YouTube for their services. In exchange for no ads.I know several people who do, I'm sure they are the only ones. Viewers are still not the customers, advertisers are, but viewers are how YouTube is funded either way. Viewers watch ads, advertisers pay YouTube. Viewers pay YouTube. Either way, claiming that viewers aren't part of that payment cycle ignores that without viewers there would be no money.
