@comrade_lecter Interesting. I like eternal youth, and I do relate to vampires. But as an unseelie fey we don't suck blood, we eat animals and humans like say a lion would. Though we are actually omnivores so more like a fox - eat fruit, nuts and eggs, but have very strong predatory instintcts and urges. Also we can shapeshift to pretty much any form, including monstrous plants, unlike vampires. And just fine with sunlight, enjoy napping in the sun, though prefer to be active at dusk.

Just learned from this psychiatrist that lack of autonomy actually makes people lose their initiative, the brain just shuts off that function. He was talking about prisoners of war and children with controlling parents, but I'm pretty sure it affects disabled people without autonomy too. Obviously people can struggle for many reasons, but I must not be the only one for whom executive dysfunction is their major struggle. And for whom growing up with trauma and lack of autonomy is at least partly to blame. It's so heartbreaking to think people are struggling to function with their basic daily tasks because they didn't have autonomy as children, and their only options are either struggling alone or losing their autonomy again?! Ok, finally started learning Cyrillic with a kids app yesterday, lol. Definitely more motivating than a long, plain list lol But why would you choose this word, iodine, and image for learning the alphabet?? It doesn't seem like a relevant word for either young kids or beginners learning the language, and the image isn't easy to understand unlike the previous ones.

@quinn Yeah I'm basically transclass, being Felix Yusupov factkin/factive. Like I was happier being middle class-ish in exile and actually being free and able to trust people. I don't miss the excessive wealth. But I definitely have the personality of one who grew up upper class, being hardwired for hedonistic leisure and impulsive charity. I'm the polar opposite of my biomum's and grandmother's strong work ethic. I know this body grew up working class, even poor the first 8 years when our mum stayed home unemployed. But my personality really doesn't match that, besides being leftist, and I just feel upper class. Like I'm supposed to be hosting dinner parties for artists and academics, and I have such cognitive dissonance that I'm not?? And having to work and do chores just does not compute. Oh and even at 14 this brain expected I would have a manor one day 😂 We have one in our inner world at least, lol.

@comrade_lecter Yeah I don't get that. If you think deeply about fandom stuff it's not even really distinguishable from politics. I can understand people disliking toxic drama, I don't like it either, but that happens in fandom too. And there's definitely political discourse that's well thought out, not just written to start fights. Cause there definitely are people who seem primarily motivated by wanting to attack other people, in both fandom and politics. So it seems good faith/bad faith, or people's motivation and behavior, is a more meaningful distinction than politics vs fandom.

@comrade_lecter Maybe because both surveys and exams are usually graded by points, and prioritize getting data for statistical analysis. Researchers and exam makers usually don't bother making them fun to take. I think they should, to make them more representative of people as a whole. Most psych research being done on psych students is definitely going to be biased. Both researchers and exam makers are way more likely to like taking exams than the average person, since they have chosen to study for so many years.

@comrade_lecter @elliot My favorite age gap is child prince and adult servant tbh. Technically cg/l I guess but the opposite of the typical dynamic. Honestly I'm annoyed there's barely any talk about dominant littles. Though lately I also really like teen and adult revolutionaries together. Specifically both being sadists and MAPs and having a "terf hearts for queer kids" thing going on. That one doesn't have a d/s power dynamic tho. And not sure how one would roleplay that irl 😅

@comrade_lecter Interesting. I did wonder how Razumovsky was Razumovsky since that's apparently an actual noble family that's died out in Russia, and he's just a random orphan. I guess the creators didn't think of the how lol. It does fit his fancy artsy personality tho. I guess I associated it with Ukraine and Jews rather than bourgeois per se. Because of the character Boris Pavlikovsky from Goldfinch and biologist Robert Sapolsky. The latter is definitely bourgeois. But Boris' dad is just a poor miner and drunkard. And Boris is the only one in Theo's life who is NOT posh and artistic lol. Yusupov is definitely fancy tho, lol. Also just realizing I have no idea what my uncle's wife's last name used to be. I know basically nothing about her life or family in Russia. Just that she had a pedagogy degree from Russia and had to get a second one in Finland.
