It's time for smartphone companies to stop updating their products with yearly cadence. There's no relevant innovation happening every year warranting an update. All we're doing is mass producing electric waste.Neither Google, nor Apple can acknowledge the fact in this shareholder-value driven setup they're stuck in.Buy a Fairphone instead. Force these big ones to think beyond the next dollar.

Just finished watching the last ever Grand Tour.A great finale to the influential motoring journalist trio. I still don’t agree with anything that Clarkson says but it has never prevented me from enjoying the entertainment.This was a great ride!

Trying to login to the Android TV YT app gives a policy error. Google's own app doesn't comply with Google's policies.Google has completely fallen apart over the last few years. Things are constantly breaking and deteriorating.

@verita84 Yeah. Companies have tried.It does feel like web could be a solution. Web on mobile is pretty decent already. Worth some nifty API improvements one could probably build an app ecosystem mostly on top of web apps.

Trying Patcli app for Mastodon.It installs via Obtainium, which has become my favorite app install source (every app is a step away from Google).I don't have any other social media apps installed (used Mastodon via browser so far). I'm trying to figure out how to manage hotel acomodations for ultra #trailrunning The race start is at 23.00 Friday. So I need to arrive Fiday, check in, and head out to the mountains.The race is 100km, cut of 27h. I'm a slow runner, so I'll finish the race early Sundazy hours, probably 2am. I can then head to the hotel.If I booked 2 nights, That's 400eur. Of the 2 nights I paid for, I'll use the room probably around 6 hours, if I'm lucky.How does that make sense? How do people do this
