#Librem5 by @purism and #Pinephone to launch this fall. https://www.cnx-software.com/2019/09/10/librem-5-pinephone-linux-smartphones-to-launch-this-fall/I’ve preordered a Librem 5, but hope both phones are a great success. I’ve been following the Librem 5 for about a year now, and it sounds like when it launches September 24, it will be perfectly usable. From this article, I think the PinePhone will be in a “perfectly usable” state come March 2020. Finally, true GNU/Linux phones, coming VERY soon 🙂

@masterofthetiger Some people cannot spell 😀 Also, to be honest, when I started using it, I had to look the spelling up . It just wasn't a word that I used much.

@purism I use all Librem One services. The biggest change for me is using Librem Chat to talk to friends and family, instead of Apple Messages and SMS.Librem Social is my first foray into Mastodon.Love Librem Tunnel too!

According to the CDC’s best estimates, the Infected Fatality Rate (IFR) of Covid-19 is between 0.2 and 0.3%, which is much lower than the possible 0.8% estimated back in March. @linmob Yes, I'm using my #pinephone as a lightweight computer. It works fairly well for email, web browsing and writing in #convergence mode, though I am using #Emacs rather than LibreOffice (which it choked on).The Pinephone also decently plays videos if they are stored locally. I use nvlc.
