@clive I think us lawyers may share a large part of the responsibility for this. I've lost count of the number of times I've used the word content as a catch-all in a current project.

@clive you learn something new...😊 it makes clauses much shorter and cleaner. We used to include a complete definition of what content means, which covered everything you'd expect, but these days, everyone knows what it means & we're discouraged from using definition clauses in site terms & policies so it's more usual to just say content without specifically laying our everything included within it.

@clive yes. It should probably really only be used by lawyers & understood by everyone. In common usage, content creators feels wrong when you could say eg artists, writers, podcasters. And social media companies using content creators to describe their users is a huge red flag that their t's & c's allow them to rip off your IPR!😀🙄
