This evening’s sunset was particularly lovely, and that bird had good timing too!! I can tell the days are getting longer and that is lovely. I count myself lucky to be able to walk and run here every day.

An honest question.. I wrote a book. People who read the book say it's good. Advice from smart people is that it is way better to 'find' an established community (like here) rather than build one (a fan base, I guess?) from the ground up. My question: How do I do that? (I realise it's a huge question. I am aware there are only so many times I can say - hey, I wrote a book! -and I'm sure that's not the way) advice welcome #question #author

The director of this choir is one of my PhD students, studying the impact of singing in a choir on the lives of cancer patients - and these people are so amazing. I knew he was doing the project (the video), but seeing it has moved me so very much. One of the ladies who really wanted to do it is at a very advanced stage in her illness, but NOTHING could keep her from singing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avCk_3lHOtc So, so, so inspiring. #smallstories #music

last night I baked again. Had a visitor come for supper and that seemed a good excuse to make another tart! I bake with strawberries sometimes to add a bit of flavour, even though they do go mushy- same consistency as soft apples really, and the overall flavour combo is great. Pics are before, out of oven, and on the table. (dish and fancy spoons came from a local jumble sale 😎 ... nearly as free as the apples from the tree) #baking #smallstories

Yesterday I was giving a group tutorial with students from abroad, me at home - online, and I had to get up and answer the door --- persistent knock... and it was FLOWERS!!! I played a gig with a couple of jazz choirs in London on Monday and it was their first 'concert' since pre-lockdown and they sent me flowers ! And the flowers were still attached to the roots so you can grow more in the garden! SO LOVELY!!!! My day (week) improved by a million percent! #smallstories #flowers

Tricky video/imaging quesiton.... I have files I need to convert to vector files from raster files... is there a way to do this without messing up the quality of the images? The online free stuff seems to make the images look like looking through the bottom of a glass bottle... #image #question #vector
