You helped it become something bad actors wanted to control. I'm gonna #askFedi this time so it hopefully won't prey on my psyche next time: The #pleroma release notes usually just say "restart Pleroma" for otp installations. I always end up doing some update command that isn't well-documented because just restarting doesn't seem to kick in until I do, and then restart. Am I just being impatient and it's in fact updating in the background on restart? And I can just restart the server, right? Or do I explicitly have to restart Pleroma?

When you call for silencing and boycotting people for having "problematic opinions", you'd be horrified if you could hear how fascist you sound. That's why I want you to be free to express your values, because I want to know who the fucking narcs are. If you're so passionate about the issues you claim to care about, why aren't you compelled to learn everything you can about them, to hear every perspective? Before you chant "lock them up", try serving an actual sentence under the Prison Industrial Complex instead of socializing in the holding tank for a few hours with people who think just like you and calling it solidarity.

18 years ago this week I published an album called A Model Psychosis to coincide with the 100th birthday of its living subject, Swiss chemist #AlbertHofmann, best known for his "problem child" #LSD. Then 7 years later on the same date open culture prodigy and martyr #AaronSwartz was driven to suicide by the Obama administration. Jan 11th will make history again this Thursday when a legal delegation from South Africa goes to The Hague to present the evidence of the Israeli government genociding the Palestinian people.
