@StoleMyThundersBalls I love owning a tractor with a backhoe. After fifteen years of owning it I’ve progressed to a level where I don’t consciously think about which lever to push or pull, I just think it and my hands do the right motions. I swear George Lucas interviewed a backhoe operator before writing The Force into the Star Wars script.

@Killer_Mule @ThewTheKooky I keep a bottle of tablets called Theanine Serene on hand. I find them useful for situations where anxiety might keep me up; if I wake up in the middle of the night, and sense I might have trouble getting back to sleep, I’ll take one tablet and usually have no trouble getting back to sleep. And there is very little ‘residue’ the next day; I don’t feel brain fog like I do if I take St. John’s wort or an over-the-counter pharma sleep aid.

@djsumdog That M-504 is an impressive looking bit of kit. The Onkyo I had was at the absolute bottom end of their power range (60W?), and I can’t remember the model number. It was from before the era where Onkyo switched to black finish for all their equipment (in the 80’s?). It had the silver finish, with two rows of colored LED’s arranged vertically to display instantaneous power. This conversation prompted me, once again, to go on eBay and look for that model, but alas no joy.
