@TonyJWells @lauren A few hours later but an interesting experiment. Czech Republic & Firefox and Chromium (both on Linux) give me dogs, cats, bunnies, and Taylor Swift.

@Wolven Fingers crossed for you! I have never tested positive (rapid tests only, for reasons) but I am certain I have it maybe three times, twice in a big way and was worried myself about long-term effects.. Right now, less than a year after the last flare up, I'm good: able to run and all I could before* and no more probs with exec function than before..* Exception: if I smoke a pipe my immune system goes tits; mast cells or something, everything breaks down.

@Wolven Kinda selfishly hope you stick it out and thins improve simply because, though everything you say is true, yours is one of the voices and perspectives I'm regularly grateful to be able to come across here... That said, I have been on various instances for years now and I am increasingly sceptical that Mastodon will ever be able to curb the aggro that makes many people feel unsafe without ripping itself up in the process; more likely it won't do this at all but will still rip itself up in the process.

@Wolven I thought of Anthony Bourdain today having seen a clip of him talking about Kissinger some years back (I remember it being somehow significant to me at the time). It's reassuring somehow that others remember his words.. A moment of silence here (for AB) fully appropriate.
