       Seems like ruby.social Mastodon instance is getting slower the more people join and actually use it – I see loading bars more and more, homepage response time is 2+ seconds, and submitting a post takes a few seconds. Guess, many people will learn the price of hosting a popular application sooner rather then later #noxp

       Due to decentralized nature of fediverse, everything must by synced between all instances, so everybody can read your feed without living your own instance. The more servers we have — the more processing power will be needed to keep the system alive.
