       @fsf software freedom isn't intrinsically linked to what universities are now mainly focused on for most programs: producing disinterested workers. like, yeah, what is said is pretty accurate, but this isn't exactly a major finding 🤷‍♀️, this is - and has been - the norm. fundamentally, every department is antagonistic in one way or another (been told to use Office products, or fail; forced to use known-broken and dangerous software (communication and proctoring, etc); encouraged or required to use development tools only beholden to corporations (with plenty of viable alternatives)). so yeah, ok, welcome to the party you started, we're already here and know the game.
