The last 3 riding days were stupidly hot. It barely got above 20 today. Lovely weather for riding.Also found 2 bike trails I wasn’t expecting to find! Aside from the climb up into the valley I barely even saw route 1 today. Saw lots of rice, though.#CycleTouring #Taiwan

My grandma just passed away :(In many ways this is good, she’s had Alzheimer’s forever. 10 years ago I visited and she was pretty checked out. When grandpa died about 5 or so years ago she didn’t even recognize me. At one point she started crying because she could tell she should know me but just wasn’t sure. :(Anywho I’ll always remember my mom and I driving from Iowa to western New York to visit her for Christmas and getting lost in a blizzard coming back from Niagara Falls.

Hello, friends!Next Wednesday, I start chemo. I'll be getting dosed every 2 weeks for the next 6 months, after which time we'll reevaluate for surgery and if it's desired, 2 months later I'll have surgery which will take about 3 months to recover from. Is my diction really that bad or does the dictation function of iOS kind of suck especially with regard to punctuation?It does suck for proper nouns and super technical things like electronics discussions, but that’s to be expected and while it is still frustrating, I understand.

Tomorrow, for instance:- go to local funeral home and talk to them about picking me up, setting me on fire, and putting me in a box to ship to Iowa- shop for urns, probably at said funeral home- shop for gravestones- probably (hopefully) enroll in hospice- figure out what we’re doing here for my local friends. Party the day before? Party after? Both? Who’s taking the pinch of my cremains to the beach to drop me off?- select some photos for display- write some words

Oh and I forgot:- figure out housing for my mom so she can spend some time with me in my final days but we don’t drive each other crazy. Hopefully hospice folks have some ideas on that front.- hope my pain isn’t so bad I need to take heavy stuff that will make me unable to do any of said- probably 100 other things I forgotOof.All of this while also dying. 🤣
