@futurebird I have decided to frame incessant meowing during cat food preparation not as whining (which it sounds like to my ears) but instead as the cats just being very excited (in a happy way) anticipation of their food. It helps me tolerate the noisiness a bit….

@futurebird In NYC you can tell those who live in the city from those who don’t by their clothes. In Paris you can tell those who live in the *country* and those who don’t by their clothes. Paris’ fashionability impacts the whole country. (Not 100%, but still)

@futurebird I grew up knowing that I didn’t fit other people’s ideas of what “guys” were like. I didn’t care that much, mostly, but I always knew I was a misfit in “society at large.” Maybe a widely recognized label like nonbinary would have been useful to me. It certainly wouldn’t have hurt. I’m glad many people are more free to explore and discuss nonbinary ideas of gender now.
