We have an increasing number of questions from our Linux community about using Wayland. Our take is that Wayland remains an experimental, evolving idea. It is still missing basic functionality that KiCad users have come to expect. We hope that it continues to improve. @claudius That is why we are raising this issue. We had hoped that the missing functionality would be addressed prior to major distributions removing X11 but as this has not happened, it is incumbent upon us to let our community know the current state and how we are working to address it.
